The first Hyperion telescope is a 12.5" f/8 model, ideal for imaging a variety of deep-sky targets. The focal length provides a sufficient image scale for small galaxies and planetary nebulae, while the large image circle allows for wide-field imaging of star clusters and nebulae with large-format CCD cameras, still maintaining impressive image scale.
